  • There’s nothing better than a hot pizza, made to order, just the way you want it. At Palio’s Pizza Café in Rowlett, you may discover that you have several favorites. Palio’s uses hand-rolled, fresh dough topped with mozzarella cheese, herbs and spices and a generous array of vegetable and meat toppings. Try a twist on the usual pepperoni pizza with The King: combining pepperoni, sausage, Canadian bacon, fresh mushrooms, black olives, onions & red, yellow and green peppers. For those who are watching their waistlines, The Mediterranean (try the whole wheat dough) is a healthy choice with baby spinach, roma tomatoes, red onions, fresh mushrooms, artichoke hearts, feta & mozzarella.

If you’re in the mood for a sandwich, owner Tom Schott says, "We have a large selection of sandwiches and calzones. The meatball and the hot Italian subs are just two that are popular and they’re perfect for lunch or dinner." Of course, pasta is also a great choice for dinner and Palio’s has the best including lasagna and their signature dish: Chicken il Palio with roasted chicken breast, fresh mushrooms, and artichoke hearts nestled on a bed of fettuccini alfredo. All pasta dishes are served with cheese bread. Choose a Greek or Caesar salad to go with your pasta dinner.

To satisfy sweet cravings, try the caramel turtle cheesecake for dessert. It is just the right finalé to a perfect meal at Palio’s Pizza Café.
